Missing So Much

(performed by Constance Walsh)
written by Constance Walsh & Tom Sparks
A Saint without a prayer, a child without a toy; a man without a face, girl without a boy -

Oh this world is missing so much, oh all we need's a gentle touch,
Children so hungry, they're cryin' out your name;
People so lonely, filled with sorrow and shame.

Little girl, she waits for her father to come home on time,
Said he'd be home by 6, the clock is ticking, now it's 9.
A painful tear drips down her cheek as he walks through the door,
He saw the cake and candles thrown on to the floor;
She looked-up at him and said, "It's not my birthday anymore."

Oh this world is missing so much, oh all we need's a gentle touch,
Children so hungry, they're cryin' out your name;
People so lonely, filled with sorrow and shame.

Little boy, so unique, with green and yellow eyes-so-shy,
All the other children, their parents told them to despise.
(He) came home from school one day all blue, black and torn,
The other kids had told him he should've never been born;
Looking into the mirror, he said, "Is life worth living anymore?"

Oh this world is missing so much, oh all we need's a gentle touch,
Children so hungry, they're cryin' out your name;
People so lonely, filled with sorrow and shame.

A Saint without a prayer, a child without a toy; a man without a face, girl without a boy
